About Me

I'm a design generalist with skills in Brand, UI/UX, Motion, and Web design. I love exploring the intersections of design and business, leveraging technology and strategic thinking to create real world impact. Down-to-earth and practical, with a coachable attitude, I take a pragmatic approach to my work—understanding that good design, blended with thoughtful positioning and strategy, can be transformational to any business or organization.

I'm a self-starter and a quick learner of software and design tools, with a strong foundation in the principles of great layout and typography. I have a strong eye for detail in my work, but I also love working on projects that push me to think big picture.

Background

I'm from a diverse background, having dual nationality in the US and England, while also growing up in three different countries in Africa—Botswana, Zambia, & Kenya. I love to travel to new places and meet people from different cultures around the world.

Currently I am based in Northwest Arkansas, where I'm finishing my degree at John Brown University.

Personal Hobbies

In my free time I enjoy keeping active—playing soccer (and watching it), going to the gym, and more recently I've been getting into running. I also enjoy the outdoors and recently went skiing for the first time (didn't really have that in Africa :).

Experience

Worked in a small team producing quality design assets for the University and its clients. Managed multiple projects at a time—making sure to deliver on time, iterate from feedback, and handoff final deliverables.

Collaborated with the creative team at Via to create elegant print and web design materials for conferences and events to increase support donations for the organization.

Partnered with my cousin, a social media entrepreneur & custom sneaker designer, to create custom airbrushed & hand-painted sneakers. I also created short-form social media content for advertising purposes to grow our social following.

Worked with an aviation organization to design a range of stickers, badges, and flyers for sale to help with their marketing & recruiting efforts.
